About Me

My intense love of fiction and writing led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in English.

I'm a graduate of the Edit Republic High Level Proofreading and Editing course.

I'm also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, and have completed numerous advanced editing educational courses through their association.

I've spent the past 12 years studying brand messaging, while crafting both written and creative content as the marketing director for a successful boutique real estate firm.

My attention to detail and enthusiasm for the written word naturally led me into the world of editing for authors.

I offer my clients a unique blend of both fiction and real world content creation editing skills.

Education and training

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in English from Appalachian State University. I also completed my initial editor training through Edit Republic's High Level Proofreading and Copy Editing program. I've taken multiple advanced editing courses through the Editorial Freelancers Association and continue to advance my education regularly.

Experience

In only my first two years as an editor, I performed over twenty full manuscript edits and professional beta reads. I continue to work full-time, adding more editing clients regularly.
